About The Inn

The Rosen House 2020

Fun facts about The Rosen House

  • Built circa 1910.

  • Has survived 2 known fires.

  • Per rumors, it was once a house of “Ill repute.”

  • Showcases the now-shuttered Worth Hotel 6-ft pot rack in the Main House’s grand kitchen. Ask us why. 😊

About the Innkeeper.

It has always been a dream to own a bed & breakfast. I love the dream I live and the people we meet along the way.

-Kelly Bowden, proprietor, and Innkeeper.

As a native western New York gal, I grew up in Brockport, NY. I attended college at Mercyhurst in Erie, PA. In 1998, I was provided the opportunity to work in Fort Worth as a Special Educator. I continue working within the Special education field full-time today and live my dream of owning a Bed and Breakfast.

As the saying goes “I wasn’t born in Texas but I got here as quick as I could.”

Above, Kelly is pictured with the Inn's "maintenance man," a.k.a. husband, Jason Bowden.

What an Innkeepers Day looks like:

Each morning, I awake very early to prepare breakfast for our guests.

Monday through Friday during the school year, we have local helpers serve our guests while I am at school.

On weekends I can serve my guests in person and hear all about their stay and adventures in Ft Worth.

We have been fortunate to live in the Historic Fairmount District since November 2000. This is our second home to “restore” and live in.

It has been a pleasure to serve not only our community and their families but visitors from all over the world.

I am looking forward to many more years of Bed and Breakfast ownership.
